How
did you first hear about LiveWire?
I first heard of LiveWire from an
old boss of mine who is a friend of
Lucille and he suggested that we spoke
to each other.
What
I most enjoy about my work is proactively
helping businesses grow or change
for the better, whilst working with
able and committed people.

I
qualified in engineering Science,
but ended up working in finance because
the Engineering degree was a broad
based degree that enabled me to keep
my options open while I worked out
what I wanted to do when I grew up!
Finance was always something that
interested me and would enable me
to play a strong role in any business,
I also needed further professional
qualifications, as I spent too much
time playing rugby and diving instead
of studying!

The
key to successful financial management
is generating accurate, timely and
relevant information on how the business
is performing and using that information
in conjunction with management to
control and steer the business along
its chosen path.

I hate cauliflower and
cucumber. More seriously
I hate it when people
issues detract from
the effectiveness of
a business. |
My worst work moment was realising
that to progress my career at a major
multinational I would need to spend
more time playing politics and making
decisions that went against the company’s
interests rather than get on and do
an excellent job and help the business
grow.
The
best thing about Livewire is
the ability and commitment of the
people and the company’s focus
on proactively moving forward and
tackling new opportunites, finding
solutions rather than creating issues.
The flexible structure allows me to
add value alongside my family and
to stay in touch with the business
continually, rather than compartmentalised
on/off traditional part-time work.
